Introduction

Welcome to XOEI — community-maintained learning materials for the XELIS ecosystem.

XELIS is a Layer-1 BlockDAG network focused on privacy (homomorphic encryption and zero-knowledge proofs), PoW mining (XELIS Hash), and programmability through XVM with the Silex contract language. The node is implemented in Rust on the Tokio async runtime.

Official materials sometimes evolve at different speeds: the FAQ and Development status are the best places to confirm smart-contract rollout (e.g. testnet vs mainnet) and roadmap items. The docs introduction may still describe older milestone wording in places.
